I was reading the Sunday Times yesterday, and they said to be careful with the HSBC offering that was in the news last week... You need to compare evrything as things are changing so quickly. The fact that they lock in a fee of up to £5k helps them keep the other numbers lower, but don;t forget to work that into your calcs!

judging by the news at the moment i think cheap mortgages have gone for good or at least a few years! Finding an OK mortgage seems to be the name of the game now, even if you do know they are stacking the numbers their way.
